Workplace Health and Safety Officer

About the role

The Site WHS Officer partners with the operations team at a delivery station to implement Amazon safety policies, ensure compliance with local regulations, and create a safe, healthful environment for associates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight to meet all Amazon WHS standards and policies.
• Measure site safety performance, identify deficiencies and develop corrective plans.
• Deliver quality safety projects on time to operations.
• Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct incident investigations, close corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform regular site safety audits to detect non‑compliant equipment or processes.
• Implement solutions that eliminate ergonomic and other safety risks.

Required profile

• Effective communicator, able to build trust with operations teams.
• Flexible to work in shifts.
• Thorough understanding of local/regional WHS regulations and Amazon policies.
• Junior‑level experience (minimum 1 month).
