Accounting Manager

About the role

Zid is building MENA’s leading commerce platform and seeks an Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with Saudi accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including general ledger, AP, AR, and cash management.
• Own month‑end and year‑end closing processes, delivering timely financial statements and management reports.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls across all accounting processes.
• Coordinate bank, balance‑sheet, intercompany, and other key reconciliations.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and manage cash movements.
• Lead external audit coordination and annual financial reviews.
• Ensure VAT, ZATCA, tax and other statutory compliance in partnership with relevant teams.
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes, automation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Coach and develop the accounting team, fostering accuracy and accountability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior or managerial roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Saudi accounting and tax requirements.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close, AP/AR, and cash management.
