Airport Manager

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead and coordinate all airport operations. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused handling of passengers and aircraft while meeting regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee passenger and aircraft handling operations on a shift basis, ensuring compliance with checklists, brand standards, policies and regulations.
• Participate in daily operations, working weekends and public holidays as required.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate flight editing, VIP/MAAS, PRM and special guest requirements.
• Maintain and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, report delays and implement mitigation actions.
• Drive ancillary sales performance and ensure process compliance.
• Promote and report on customer‑service standards and related KPIs.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in aviation or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in high‑pressure, shift‑based environments.
• Experience with global best practices and strong communication skills across multiple channels.
• Regional or international exposure is advantageous.
