Application Consultant – Sanctions Screening

About the role

The Application Consultant – Sanctions Screening will design, configure, and support sanctions screening solutions for banking and financial services clients. Acting as the bridge between compliance, business, and technical teams, you will ensure platforms operate efficiently and meet regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor screening platforms across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Lead workshops and gather requirements from compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Configure rules, watchlists, matching algorithms, thresholds, and scoring to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Plan and execute deployments, upgrades, releases, and change‑management activities.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing and support defect resolution.
• Investigate alerts, incidents, and performance issues, conducting root‑cause analysis.
• Integrate screening solutions with core banking, payment, onboarding, and enterprise data systems.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, runbooks, and training materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in sanctions screening, AML, or financial crime compliance solutions.
• Proven ability to work with compliance and technical teams in a banking environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on regulatory adherence.
