Application Strategic Planning Section Manager

About the role

The Application Strategic Planning Section Manager will lead the development and integration of a coherent, business‑aligned strategic plan for the Applications sector of Saudi Telecom Company. Reporting to the Applications Planning Director, the role ensures that medium‑ and long‑term business needs are met through clear identification of enablers and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of strategic planning plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Direct and manage the Application Strategic Planning Section, providing leadership and facilitating work processes to achieve high performance standards.
• Interpret and implement changes within the section, offering guidance for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Review and support refinement of business and technology priorities for the Applications sector.
• Identify and develop strategic imperatives in coordination with the Applications Planning Director.
• Review Applications strategic plans to ensure alignment with overall planning guidelines.
• Review all Applications projects, identify interdependencies with Technology Strategy and Roadmap, and prioritize projects in collaboration with Applications and Finance.
• Collate projects from the Applications sector and synchronize priorities with Network/Infrastructure sector strategic plans.
• Support development of an integrated 3‑year Technology & Operations Strategic Plan covering technology, operations and organization.
• Conduct periodic reviews of Applications projects, identify deviations from the sector strategic plan, and assign remediation responsibilities.
• Coordinate and consolidate information on Applications projects for annual business plans and support prioritization in line with business imperatives.
