Application Support Specialist (Digital & Payment)

About the role

The Application Support Specialist provides second‑level support for digital and payment applications, ensuring smooth operation and rapid resolution of software malfunctions. The role contributes to business continuity by analysing incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and supporting end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate second‑level support for application issues reported by end users.
• Analyze incidents, follow BT processes and propose solutions to reduce recurring problems.
• Monitor and respond to end‑user requests in a timely manner to maintain business continuity.
• Escalate complex problems to specialised teams and follow up on resolutions.
• Track local and international trends in banking operating systems and suggest improvements.
• Develop or modify applications when required, ensuring alignment with business requests and architecture.
• Maintain application configurations and monitor efficiency within the assigned business area.
• Collect and analyse incident reports to identify trends and repeat malfunctions.
• Participate in testing new applications to confirm efficiency and accuracy before production release.
• Provide training and technical support to end users to meet predefined service level agreements.

Required profile

• Experience in second‑level application support within a banking or financial environment.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Familiarity with monitoring trends and best practices in banking operating systems.
• Capability to develop, modify, and configure applications according to business needs.
• Experience in testing applications prior to production deployment.
• Strong communication skills for providing training and technical support to end users.
