Area Construction Manager

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to lead day‑to‑day construction activities for large‑scale mining or heavy‑industrial projects in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures safety, schedule, cost and quality targets are met while coordinating subcontractors and field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities within the assigned area, ensuring compliance with safety, schedule, cost and quality goals.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and other field personnel.
• Monitor progress and provide regular reports on schedule, risks and issues to project leadership.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and site‑specific safety procedures.
• Interface with engineering teams to resolve design or construction issues and implement field changes.
• Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors, field supervisors and safety staff.
• Participate in site inspections, audits and quality assurance activities to verify conformance to technical and contractual requirements.
• Support planning, resource allocation and logistics for the assigned area.
• Liaise with client representatives and third parties for inspections or area‑specific coordination.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings or efficiency gains.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Mining or Construction Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on‑site in large‑scale construction, preferably mining or heavy‑industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety‑focused construction operations and deliver projects on schedule and budget.
