Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager specialized in freight forwarding to expand our client base and drive sales in the Dammam/Eastern Province market. The role focuses on generating new opportunities, nurturing relationships, and meeting defined sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics.
• Generate leads and acquire new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market visits.
• Promote sea freight, air freight, land transportation, customs clearance, and logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients and conduct regular customer visits.
• Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to deliver competitive solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and submit regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proven ability to generate new customers and achieve sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics services.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Valid Saudi driving license and Saudi market experience are preferred.
