CISO Mentor (part-time basis)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced security executive to serve as a part‑time CISO Mentor for a fast‑growing, globally distributed technology organization based in Saudi Arabia. In this advisory capacity you will provide strategic guidance and hands‑on mentorship to emerging security leaders, helping them build a mature, scalable Information Security function while maintaining business agility.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and advise security leaders on designing, scaling and continuously improving an Information Security program.
• Provide strategic input on perimeter and network defenses, including WAF, rate limiting, anti‑bot and DDoS mitigation.
• Guide the protection of product APIs, authentication, authorization and access‑control mechanisms.
• Oversee vulnerability management processes from identification to remediation and tracking.
• Advise on external penetration‑testing programs and support remediation of findings.
• Lead product‑security incident response, crisis management and post‑incident activities.
• Collaborate with fraud, trust & safety and cross‑functional teams to embed security best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in information security leadership or CISO‑level roles.
• Proven track record of building and scaling security programs in cloud‑native environments.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and mentor technical teams.
• Ability to work a few hours per month while delivering high‑impact guidance.
