Cost Control Section Head

About the role

We are seeking a senior Cost Control Section Head to lead financial management for large‑scale construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The role reports to senior management and oversees cost control activities across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control strategies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
• Monitor and analyse financial data, prepare reports, budget forecasts and variance analysis for senior management.
• Coordinate with project managers and department heads to track project costs and approve purchase orders, invoices and expense reports.
• Conduct regular audits of financial records, identify discrepancies and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Manage claims and variations studies, and provide guidance to the finance team on cost control matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 20 years of cost control experience, including roles as cost manager on large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to plan, organize and present cost engineering and estimating products with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts and construction processes.
