Critical Environment Program Manager – Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

About the role

Microsoft is looking for a Critical Environment Program Manager to lead the engineering and delivery of datacenter electrical and mechanical systems in Saudi Arabia. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with program and project management to ensure reliable, safe operation of power, cooling, and life‑safety infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for datacenter power, cooling, switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers and chillers.
• Troubleshoot recurring failures, improve maintenance effectiveness, and manage upgrades, commissioning and lifecycle replacements.
• Drive operational excellence by reducing SEV incidents, break‑fix backlog, and improving preventive‑maintenance performance through data analysis and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Microsoft standards, MOP/SOP, change‑management, ISO and audit requirements.
• Translate engineering risks into scoped projects, manage roadmaps, dependencies and resources across regional and global teams.
• Communicate risks, blockers and decisions clearly, fostering collaboration and data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands‑on datacenter critical‑environment experience with power, switchgear, UPS systems and generators.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
