Design Manager (PMC)

About the role

The PMC Design Manager will be based in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, supporting senior PMC Project Managers on development projects from RIBA Stages 1‑4. The role involves coordinating client‑appointed Lead Design Consultants (LDC) and ensuring design delivery aligns with the project brief, quality standards and HSE plans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare scope of works and tender documentation for LDC services, respecting existing framework agreements.
• Oversee LDC activities, coordinate design outputs across project stages, and monitor progress against objectives.
• Manage design review processes, compile stage‑gate reports and ensure compliance with design briefs, risk and value analyses.
• Control change management by reviewing design documents, tracking authorized changes and assessing impacts on time, cost and quality.
• Support cost management by reviewing cost estimates and collaborating with the client‑appointed Cost Consultant.

• Structured, systematic and disciplined working approach.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Proven ability to work with senior project managers and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills to manage design documentation and review cycles.
