DevOps Manager

About the role

The DevOps Manager will lead the DevOps function, establishing scalable, reliable and secure software delivery practices across the organization. This role owns the end‑to‑end CI/CD pipeline, GitOps processes and container platforms while partnering closely with engineering, security and architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing DevOps engineering team, providing technical direction.
• Define and maintain the organization’s CI/CD strategy, standards and tooling, primarily using GitLab.
• Design, operate and continuously improve GitLab‑based delivery pipelines.
• Implement Kubernetes‑based deployment practices across all environments.
• Establish GitOps workflows with tools such as Argo CD.
• Standardize build, test, security scanning, release and rollback processes.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation to minimize manual operations.
• Enhance developer experience through self‑service capabilities, documentation and reusable templates.
• Integrate automated testing, quality gates and DevSecOps controls (SAST, SCA, container scanning, secrets management).
• Ensure observability by embedding monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting into delivery pipelines.
• Track engineering metrics (DORA, deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).
• Support incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and adopt new DevOps technologies that deliver measurable value.
• Manage platform capacity, licensing, vendor relationships and technical roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Cloud Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with GitLab CI/CD or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and Docker containers.
