Drilling Data Analyst

About the role

The Drilling Data Analyst will join the Drilling Department of a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for collecting, validating, and interpreting drilling data to drive operational efficiency and support decision‑making across the drilling teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of drilling operational data from multiple rigs and sites.
• Collect, compile, and validate field data against operational logs and reports.
• Analyze penetration rates, recovery factors, downtime trends and other performance indicators.
• Develop dashboards and visualisation tools to monitor drilling performance.
• Identify inefficiencies, recommend optimisation solutions and support forecasting of drilling progress.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly analytical reports for engineers, planners and management.
• Maintain centralized drilling data systems, ensure data standardisation and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Degree in Data Science, Analytics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• PowerBI (knowledge is an added advantage).
