EHS Manager

About the role

We are seeking an EHS Manager to lead Environmental Compliance, Process Safety and Occupational Health & Safety at our manufacturing site in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role will align site activities with Huntsman’s global EHS standards and Zero Harm culture while collaborating with the wider EHS network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the site’s EHS Management System, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
• Act as the primary EHS focal point for environmental, health, safety and process‑safety matters.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with environmental, occupational and process‑safety regulations.
• Drive Huntsman’s Zero Harm strategy, strengthening safety culture through visible leadership and employee engagement.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses, risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring effective mitigation and closure of actions.
• Support key process‑safety programs such as Management of Change, Pre‑Startup Safety Reviews and safe work practices.
• Conduct incident and near‑miss investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee critical safety programs including Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, contractor safety, confined‑space entry, work at height and chemical handling controls.
• Monitor environmental performance, manage waste, emissions and pollution‑prevention reporting.
• Deliver EHS training, coaching and awareness programmes to employees and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of hands‑on EHS experience in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas or other high‑hazard manufacturing environments.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Relevant EHS certification such as OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• Saudi Arabian nationality is preferred.

• Management of Change (MOC) and Pre‑Startup Safety Review (PSSR) procedures.
• Risk assessment, incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Permit to Work and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) systems.
• Environmental compliance, waste management and emissions reporting.
• Safety program implementation for contractor safety, confined‑space entry and work at height.
