Senior Test Engineer – Dynamometer

About the role

The Senior Test Engineer – Dynamometer will own dynamometer test operations at Lucid’s AMP‑2 facility, overseeing efficiency mapping, performance and durability validation, and building dyno infrastructure from commissioning through volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dyno stations, ensuring safety compliance and readiness for testing.
• Execute efficiency mapping across the torque‑speed envelope, performing steady‑state and transient performance validation.
• Manage torque transducer standards, correction factors, and correlation to guarantee accurate torque, speed, and power measurements.
• Oversee test‑cell instrumentation for temperature, current, voltage, and position, maintaining calibration and traceability.
• Define and control high‑speed data acquisition standards, calibration, and sampling strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Support TPM initiatives, including autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, and focused improvement to improve OEE, MTBF/MTTR and predictive maintenance.
• Enforce HV safety procedures (LOTO, HVIL, PPE) and comply with Saudi, IEC and functional‑safety standards.
• Participate in launch governance, safe‑launch activities, run‑at‑rate events, capacity verification, and QRQC/RCCA escalations.
• Commission and sustain dyno controls, inverter/battery simulators, cooling, oil conditioning, DAQ, safety systems and facility interfaces.
• Develop automated test sequences using LabVIEW or equivalent software, manage recipes, configurations and software releases.
