Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop complete electrical drawing packages, bills of material and wiring diagrams for client projects. The role involves close collaboration with drafters, project managers and customers to ensure designs meet specifications, cost targets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review opening orders, specifications and general drawings provided by customers.
• Create full electrical drawing packages and detailed internal layout and wiring diagrams for manufacturing release.
• Generate accurate bills of material and monitor material costs against project budgets.
• Support and coordinate drafters to meet schedule commitments and adhere to drafting standards.
• Identify and resolve design clarifications, conflicts and engineering change notifications (ECNs) early in the process.
• Manage customer change requests and ensure proper implementation in design sub‑missions.
• Track design hours per product type and strive to meet or improve standard targets.
• Communicate with customers to understand real needs and deliver designs that exceed satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in electrical engineering design, drafting or related industrial applications.
• Strong collaboration, customer focus and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, document and report design work effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and EPLAN drafting tools.
• Familiarity with Siemens S8 and ABB ProE (preferred).
• Understanding of electrical protection functions and schemes.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering drawing symbols and terminology.
