Electronic Technician – Engineering

About the role

Electronic Technician needed in the Engineering Department of Jumeirah Jabal Omar Hotel, a 5‑star luxury property in the Holy City of Mecca. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electronic and AV/VA systems to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment, AV/VA systems, control systems and related devices.
• Read and interpret electronic drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and resolve issues on electronic, PAVA and sensor equipment.
• Inspect, test and replace defective components such as circuit boards, relays and wiring.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electronic and AV/VA equipment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury 5‑star hotel.
• Secondary education required; vocational certification or trade qualification in electronics preferred.
• Proficient in English and able to work independently.
• Adaptable to diverse environments and able to follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electronics and electronic components.
• Experience with PAVA (Public Address and Voice Alarm) equipment.
• Familiarity with AV/VA (Audio‑Visual) systems.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of safety and building systems.
