Environmental Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join the Environment & Sustainability team in Riyadh. The role supports a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, master‑planning and development projects, ensuring environmental compliance and driving sustainability initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) for various projects.
• Support permitting and licensing with NCEC, MWAN and other Saudi authorities.
• Monitor compliance with NCEC regulations, IFC standards and international best practices.
• Conduct environmental risk studies and monitoring of air, water, soil, noise and vibration.
• Assist waste‑management and sustainability programmes across project phases.
• Use GIS tools to map environmental constraints and inform project planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental requirements into design and delivery.
• Contribute to proposal preparation and business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• 3‑7 years of experience in environmental consulting or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi environmental regulations and NCEC requirements.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers preferred; IEMA or similar accreditation desirable.
