Expert Platform Engineer

About the role

The Expert Platform Engineer will design and evolve scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms that empower engineering teams to develop, deploy, operate, and monitor enterprise applications and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable platform architecture and engineering solutions.
• Define platform engineering standards, patterns, and technical practices.
• Develop and enhance infrastructure automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code capabilities.
• Design, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Drive containerization, orchestration, cloud, and platform automation practices.
• Ensure platform security, resilience, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead technical resolution of complex platform and infrastructure issues.
• Build self‑service platform capabilities to improve developer productivity.
• Evaluate emerging platform technologies and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, SRE, and application engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing and supporting highly available, scalable, and resilient platforms.
• Experience in Banking, FinTech, or Payment environments is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of PCI‑DSS and security/compliance requirements.
