Field Project Engineer

About the role

Alfa Laval is looking for a Field Project Engineer to join its Food & Water Services team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to drive lifecycle service growth across the Middle East through spare parts, upgrades, service agreements and technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project‑specific estimations, obtain competitive quotations, negotiate pricing and develop commercially viable proposals while ensuring profitability.
• Support and manage customer projects across the Middle East through regular interaction, site visits and coordination with customer project teams.
• Coordinate with service execution teams, subcontractors, sales departments and customer representatives to ensure smooth project integration.
• Monitor project progress, control costs and resolve execution challenges to avoid delays and overruns.
• Supervise on‑site activities, participate in commissioning and start‑up, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and specification standards.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience in project engineering, field execution, commissioning or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong technical, commercial and negotiation skills with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Proficiency in Italian is preferred.
• Experience working with customers and contractors across the Middle East.
