Financial Operations Analyst

About the role

HALA, a leading fintech in the MENAP region, is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to examine financial operations and recommend actions that improve profit margins. You will work closely with finance, operations and other departments to ensure accurate tax data, transaction reconciliation and insightful reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and correct customer tax data and ensure compliance.
• Prepare, review and verify customer data for tax invoices and credit notes.
• Answer queries, resolve issues and track discrepancies related to tax documentation.
• Prepare and perform analysis reports on request.
• Reconcile financial transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Verify payment documents to ensure accurate amounts.
• Assist with data analysis, metric development and trend management.
• Support the preparation of monthly reporting schedules and management reporting.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand budget variances.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement opportunities in month‑end close.
• Prepare, consolidate and present monthly cost analysis to finance and operations leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar financial operations role.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with computerized ledger systems.
