General Manager (Bakery & Retail)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high‑end bakery and retail outlet in Riyadh. The role combines operational oversight, financial management and team leadership to drive growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day bakery and retail operations, ensuring brand standards and product quality.
• Take full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Recruit, train and mentor bakers, baristas and retail staff, fostering a positive work culture.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene compliance with local regulations.
• Develop and execute local marketing and sales initiatives to increase footfall and customer loyalty.
• Manage inventory, procurement and supplier relationships to optimise stock levels and costs.
• Direct visual merchandising and store layout to create an inviting premium experience.
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience in premium bakery, café or food‑retail environments.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L, budgeting and cost‑control expertise.
• Excellent leadership and people‑development skills.
• Deep understanding of food‑and‑beverage operations, quality control and industry best practices.
• Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Previous experience in the Middle East is highly advantageous.
