Site Reliability Engineer – DevSecOps / Sovereign Cloud

About the role

Thales is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with strong DevSecOps and sovereign‑cloud expertise to design, operate and secure regulated cloud environments on AWS and GCP. The role blends cloud operations, security engineering and SRE practices to ensure platform reliability and compliance with Saudi data‑residency requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and maintain sovereign cloud platforms on AWS and GCP, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Operate and upgrade Kubernetes clusters, handling scaling, workload optimisation and upgrades.
• Lead security incident response, investigate and remediate cloud security issues, and proactively mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and automate CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitLab.
• Manage secrets and credentials with HashiCorp Vault and monitor system health and observability through Datadog.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support, drive continuous improvement and embed security‑by‑design principles across the cloud stack.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of professional experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering or site reliability engineering.
• Strong background in regulated or compliance‑driven cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead incident response and work cross‑functionally with security and development teams.
