Laboratory, Research and Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory, Research and Development Manager to lead our R&D and technical laboratory operations, focusing on fragrance formulation and new product development. The role will drive innovation, ensure product quality, and maintain compliance with Gulf, European and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the laboratory team, set objectives and evaluate performance.
• Maintain a safe working environment in R&D and Quality Control labs.
• Develop, review and approve analytical test methods, specifications, certificates of analysis and laboratory reports for raw materials and finished products.
• Create product formulations and manufacturing procedures, train staff and continuously improve processes.
• Analyse stability study results, determine shelf‑life and address formulation defects.
• Resolve technical issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and apply updates to Gulf, European, IFRA and other export market regulations.
• Review packaging information for regulatory compliance in all target markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in laboratory management, R&D and product formulation, preferably in fragrance or cosmetics.
• Strong knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements (Gulf, EU, IFRA).
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects and ensure laboratory safety.
