Mechanical Technician

About the role

Join one of the world’s largest food companies as a Mechanical Technician, responsible for keeping production equipment running smoothly. You will work on a variety of mechanical systems, ensuring high‑quality operations while adhering to safety and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns within the assigned area.
• Perform preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance following the Kanban system.
• Maintain equipment in basic condition and ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, HACCP and 5S standards.
• Reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) by providing effective on‑line support.
• Report anomalies, complete maintenance notifications (M1, M2, M3) and manage spare‑part requirements.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team on continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support OEM communication for critical spares and issues.
• Overhaul motors, gearboxes, switches and other components without external assistance.

Required profile

• Technical education of at least 2 years in Mechanical Trade or a related field.
• Ability to work safely with chemical products and follow all HSE and food‑safety procedures.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify root causes and propose cost‑effective solutions.
• Willingness to support sustainability initiatives and ESG commitments.
