Process Control Engineer

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Process Control Engineer to lead engineering activities on assigned projects, delivering cost-effective solutions and ensuring technical excellence across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Area Lead on projects and perform moderately complex engineering assignments.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and Cost Competitive Execution methods to develop optimal project solutions.
• Develop, review, and maintain specifications and design criteria.
• Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting processes.
• Assign work to teams, monitor progress, and manage deliverables.
• Perform calculations, specify equipment, and resolve engineering problems.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance and drive discrepancy resolution.
• Analyze issues and provide independent recommendations aligned with project objectives.

Required profile

• Accredited four-year degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum six years of related work experience (or ten years without a degree).
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local, state/provincial, and federal regulations.
• Detail-oriented, time-effective work habits.
• Membership in a technical society.
• Advanced understanding of discipline codes, standards, and material costs.
• Practical field experience and intermediate proficiency with standard office software.
