Process Operator

About the role

The Process Operator will work on a joint‑venture petrochemical plant in Al‑Jubail, ensuring safe and reliable operation of production equipment to meet daily output and quality targets. The role combines hands‑on equipment handling, routine monitoring, and basic maintenance within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently in line with daily production plans and quality objectives.
• Monitor process variables such as flow, temperature, and pressure, recording routine readings.
• Perform basic frontline maintenance, process sampling, and testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting during normal operation and upset conditions.
• Prepare equipment and work areas for mechanical, maintenance, and turnaround activities.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to EHS policies.
• Communicate continuously with shift leader and head operator regarding status and activities.
• Identify hazards, conduct Job Safety Analyses, and support preventive maintenance schedules.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and operational‑excellence processes.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, regulations, and business documents.
• Strong written communication skills for reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation skills for conveying information to supervisors and teams.

Required skills

• Basic frontline maintenance of process equipment.
• Process sampling and testing techniques.
• Operation of flow meters, temperature and pressure gauges.
