Procurement Supervisor (Pharmaceutical Raw Materials)

About the role

The Raw Materials Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials, ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing and compliance with regulatory standards. This role works closely with Logistics, Business Development, R&D, Planning, Quality, and Finance to guarantee timely delivery and quality of materials.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and supplier selection for raw materials.
• Create and manage purchase orders, monitoring release cycles.
• Conduct price analysis and cost benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Coordinate with Logistics to secure timely deliveries.
• Implement cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and delivery terms.
• Verify that all materials meet regulatory and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support smooth operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical raw material sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional environment.
