Senior Cost Control Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Cost Control Manager to join a transformative mixed‑use development in Abha, Saudi Arabia. The role will lead cost‑control activities across a large‑scale, multidisciplinary programme that combines residential, commercial, hospitality, leisure and public‑realm components.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery against timeframes, budgets and risk registers.
• Lead end‑to‑end project management from inception through to handover.
• Align delivery with stakeholder expectations through clear, proactive communication.
• Champion a “Safety First” culture and promote wellbeing across all teams.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to strengthen wider Mace programmes.
• Drive collaboration among client, consultant and contractor teams.
• Manage programme integration across design, procurement and construction delivery.
• Lead strategic initiatives including business development and commercial performance.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to influence outcomes and embed best practice.
• Develop and lead teams while fostering continuous improvement.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing associated emissions.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Progressing toward chartership with a recognised professional body.
• Minimum 20 years total professional experience, including at least 7 years in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven leadership in health, safety and wellbeing with measurable outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation within complex organisational environments.
• Effective communicator with strong analytical capability and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Eligibility to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (appropriate visa criteria).
