Senior Road Engineer

About the role

WSP, a leading construction consultancy, is looking for a highly experienced Senior Road Engineer to join its Riyadh office. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of road infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and development of road projects, including alignment, geometric, pavement and drainage design.
• Conduct feasibility studies, traffic impact and risk assessments to guide design decisions.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, perform site inspections and enforce quality assurance measures.
• Develop and implement traffic management and safety plans to minimise disruption.
• Engage with clients, regulatory authorities and community stakeholders, delivering regular progress reports and presentations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and resources, identifying risks and applying mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in road engineering and site supervision within a construction consultancy.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering complex road, highway or bridge projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
