Senior Technical Support Engineer (Compression)

About the role

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer specializing in compression, you will act as the primary technical liaison between Siemens Energy and key Middle East clients such as Aramco, Qatar Gas, and ADNOC. You will lead investigations, transfer knowledge across teams, and mentor junior engineers to keep critical compression assets operating reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship for major Middle East accounts, serving as the trusted advisor on all compression matters.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations using structured methodologies (FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner‑Tregoe, 5 Whys).
• Coordinate cross‑functional and cross‑regional expert teams to ensure rapid information flow between client sites, Product Integrity, and Core Technology groups.
• Partner with Sales, Bid Management, and Service teams to provide technical input for proposals and service strategies.
• Maintain rigorous technical documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, method statements, and equipment records.
• Train and develop junior field service engineers and client personnel on routine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• 15+ years of hands‑on experience with rotating equipment design, factory acceptance testing, controls design, package design, site commissioning, maintenance, and field troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership in root‑cause analysis using FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner‑Tregoe, and 5 Whys.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills in fluent English.
• Willingness to travel and work in demanding field environments.
