Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

You will lead and manage all testing and commissioning activities for large‑scale water and wastewater projects, ensuring successful integration, validation, and handover in line with client requirements and project standards. The role involves supervising a team of engineers, coordinating with clients, contractors, operators, and regulatory authorities, and overseeing schedules, risk assessments, inspections and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of discipline engineers in preparation and execution of commissioning works.
• Review, approve and monitor testing and commissioning plans, procedures and calibration of on‑site equipment.
• Coordinate with the Systems Engineering team, operators, civil contractors and third‑party vendors to meet testing requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, endorse results and recommend mitigation actions.
• Manage schedules to ensure commissioning activities align with project timelines.
• Participate in final inspections, issue completion and handover certificates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality policies.
• Prepare testing and commissioning reports, O&M manuals, spare‑parts lists and as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on large‑scale construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of water and wastewater works and related construction technologies.
• Proven experience implementing a zero‑accident philosophy and strong HSE awareness.
• Familiarity with Project Construction Environmental Control Plans and regulatory requirements.
