Software Engineer – Backend & AI Integration

About the role

The Software Engineer will work full‑time on‑site in Yanbu al Bahr, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support the company’s operational and commercial goals. The role focuses on back‑end development and the integration of AI‑powered features, including large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Implement back‑end features using server‑side frameworks, databases and APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following OOP principles.
• Design, evaluate and integrate AI/LLM capabilities such as prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, embeddings and vector databases.
• Participate in code reviews, refine requirements with stakeholders, and ensure software reliability, performance, security and responsible AI use.
• Document solutions, support deployment activities and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and AI‑enabled tools.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency in software development and production‑grade back‑end applications.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML concepts and interest in applying AI to business problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python (or similar language used for AI and back‑end development).
• Server‑side frameworks, databases and API integration.
• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and modular code design.
• AI APIs, Large Language Models, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
