Technical Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, coordination, review and execution of mechanical systems for a prestigious high‑rise building in Riyadh. The role involves ensuring HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and chilled‑water systems meet project requirements, local regulations and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve mechanical design and shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and chilled‑water systems.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, ensuring alignment with BIM models and site conditions.
• Develop and maintain As‑Built drawings for handover and O&M purposes.
• Generate BOQ take‑offs to support procurement, tendering and variation evaluation.
• Conduct technical and QC reviews against ASHRAE, NFPA and Saudi codes.
• Lead BIM coordination for mechanical services and resolve cross‑discipline clashes.
• Review vendor submittals, datasheets and material approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers and support testing, balancing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license or relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on tower or high‑rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of local Saudi codes and international standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM software.
• Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and chilled‑water system design.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE and NFPA standards.
• Ability to prepare BOQ take‑offs and shop drawing packages.
• Experience with As‑Built documentation and technical submittal review.
• Competence in testing, balancing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
