Technical Office Engineer (Irrigation Projects)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Office Engineer to lead and coordinate technical activities for irrigation infrastructure projects, from RFP preparation through execution. The role ensures that proposed solutions are technically sound, cost‑effective, constructible and fully aligned with client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and technical office activities for irrigation projects, reviewing designs, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Coordinate design consultants, engineering and construction teams, managing technical interfaces between irrigation networks and other utilities.
• Prepare, review and submit technical proposals, calculations, method statements and related documentation, responding to client queries.
• Verify quantities from drawings, collaborate with quantity surveying/commercial teams and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Develop and review construction methodologies, ensuring practicality, safety and alignment with site conditions.
• Monitor compliance with client requirements, standards and authority regulations, maintaining technical records and supporting issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Engineering Officer or similar role in irrigation or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of design coordination, quantity verification, technical submissions and construction methodology development.
• Ability to identify design gaps, constructability challenges and propose cost‑effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with consultants, contractors and client representatives.
