Technical Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Technician to provide professional on‑site support for Audio Visual (AV) systems across meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and digital signage installations. The role involves installation, configuration, preventive maintenance and rapid issue resolution to meet agreed service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, commission and maintain AV equipment such as projectors, professional displays, LED/LCD screens, video walls, interactive displays, audio systems and control panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, cabling and network connectivity issues for HDMI, HDBaseT, IP‑based AV and video‑conferencing solutions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to service contracts and SLAs.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare technical requirements and assist in solution design.
• Coordinate escalations with manufacturers or OEM technical support.
• Complete service reports, work orders, installation documentation and customer acceptance records.
• Provide end‑user training and basic operational guidance after installation.
• Support project teams during installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Audio Visual Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with AV installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of AV networking, signal flow, cabling standards and control systems.
• Familiarity with major professional AV brands and relevant OEM certifications is preferred.
