Utility Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Utility Engineer to support the planning, design, coordination and execution of utility systems for major mining and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on safe and efficient utility tie‑ins, ensuring new facilities integrate seamlessly with existing water, power, wastewater, instrumentation and communications networks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and support utility tie‑ins for water, wastewater, power, instrumentation, communications and other systems.
• Develop tie‑in packages, method statements, shutdown plans and construction work packages.
• Review engineering designs for compatibility with existing utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, construction and contractor teams to minimise disruptions.
• Identify utility interface requirements, manage associated risks and support routing, network assessments and capacity evaluations.
• Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality and project standards.
• Participate in constructability reviews, HAZOPs and risk assessments related to utility installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in utility engineering within mining or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian utility regulations and requirements.
• Proven ability to work on‑site and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
