Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day activities in a distribution centre, ensuring that receiving, storage, picking and dispatch processes run smoothly and safely. The role focuses on operational efficiency, team coordination and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise inbound and outbound workflows, including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Allocate daily tasks to warehouse assistants, monitor shift performance and report absenteeism or productivity gaps.
• Monitor bin locations, stock movements and support periodic cycle counts, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain accurate shift‑wise reports on goods movement, stock levels and manpower deployment.
• Coordinate with transport, brand and logistics teams to resolve delivery or processing delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; supply‑chain certification or diploma preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution centre operations, preferably in retail.
• Proven experience managing inbound processes, supervising teams and coordinating inventory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy, safety and compliance.
