Welder – Energy Technology

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Energy Technology division as a Welder, supporting the design and maintenance of rotating equipment, turbines, compressors and related systems. You will work on-site in Saudi Arabia, applying high‑heat welding techniques to assemble and repair metal components for critical energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and repair metal parts using heavy‑heat welding equipment (TIG, MMA, etc.).
• Read and interpret technical drawings and take precise measurements to plan layouts.
• Select appropriate welding methods and set up components according to specifications.
• Cut material with powered saws, prepare edges with angle grinders, and align pieces using calipers and rulers.
• Perform manual or semi‑automatic welding in vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
• Test and inspect welded joints for defects and ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe, operational condition.
• Complete QC sheets, manufacturing forms and other required documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with safety standards and use of protective gear.
• Proficiency in English.
