Rolling Stock Engineer – Saudi National

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Rolling Stock Engineer to join its transport engineering team. The role focuses on ensuring the technical integrity of passenger rolling stock operating under automatic operation across at‑grade, elevated and underground rail sections.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Lead Rolling Stock Engineer by providing expert technical advice on rolling stock design, development and safety.
• Define and develop interface specifications for supplier designs and coordinate with project controls to monitor design progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyse RAMS performance of rolling stock against client specifications and assess operation and maintenance aspects.
• Review and approve Design‑Build contractor designs for all rolling‑stock subsystems, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Oversee assessment of train configurations, passenger capacity, interface issues and performance quantifications.

Required profile

• Saudi national with expertise in rolling‑stock delivery and asset acceptance.
• Strong background in railway engineering, particularly in automatic train operation environments.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing technical interfaces.
