Sales Associate – Optical Retail

About the role

The Sales Associate will drive store sales by delivering excellent customer service, promoting optical products, and supporting the opticians with basic product knowledge. This role ensures a smooth and professional experience for every customer visiting the store.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable frames, sunglasses, lenses, or contact lenses.
• Drive conversion, upselling, cross‑selling and execute promotions to meet individual sales targets.
• Handle customer inquiries, basic issues and support insurance documentation.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system and communicate customer requirements to opticians/technicians.
• Maintain product displays, store cleanliness and report stock shortages.
• Build lasting customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
• Support opticians during peak hours and contribute to a positive store environment.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of retail sales experience, preferably in an optical setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written English and Arabic communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.

Required skills

• Strong sales and customer service abilities.
• Basic understanding of optical products and prescriptions.
• Proficiency with POS systems and sales processes.
