Sales Executive - Infectious Disease Diagnostics

About the role

Abbott's Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease division is hiring a Sales Executive for its Al-Qassim field site. The role promotes the full range of the ID portfolio across the assigned territory, supports new Covid-related product launches and leverages cross-franchise synergies. The position involves significant travel, about 75% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Drive territory growth by promoting new and existing products, including product presentations and competitor information
• Make sales calls targeting high-potential areas and implement the go-to-market strategy aligned with regional and global objectives
• Build and expand partnerships with key accounts using a consultative approach to KOLs
• Appraise customer needs and advise on the application of Abbott products and services
• Work closely with distributor sales teams, supporting them with training, sales meetings, technical expertise and marketing support
• Provide forecasts, business reports and action plans, and keep accurate demand planning and market intelligence up to date
• Represent Abbott professionally and in line with legal and ethical standards

Required profile

• University degree in Life Sciences, Pharma, Biomedical Engineering or a related field
• Strong command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
• At least 2 years' experience in healthcare sales, preferably in diagnostics/POC
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and private healthcare providers in the territory; good relations with key customers are a plus
• Ability to travel to remote cities, about 75% of the time
