Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage purchasing activities for a company operating in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for sourcing qualified suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services needed for operations and projects. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities to support efficient and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding procurement requirements.
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain supplier databases and procurement records.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify alternative sources.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare procurement reports and cost analysis when required.
• Support project teams with material and service procurement needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in industrial, manufacturing or oil & gas sectors.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and contract terms.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
