Cost Specialist (Saudi National)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Cost Specialist (Saudi National) to lead cost control activities for large‑scale engineering and construction projects. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, interfacing with clients, and providing financial analysis to support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all costs are properly charged to projects and provide full visibility to the cost control team.
• Interface with clients, attend regular meetings and prepare statistical reports.
• Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
• Support the Project Director in reviewing and finalising the business plan.
• Provide guidance and specialised assistance in resolving complex cost control issues.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews, explaining variances and justifications.
• Utilise historical data and trends for future planning, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Establish resource, revenue and cost projections in coordination with project teams.
• Prepare and update weekly and monthly cost‑tracking reports.
• Set up baseline budgets using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and collaborate with Project Manager and Scheduler.
• Deliver financial and cost analysis, earned value and cost performance reporting.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, invoicing, change control and cost forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for mega‑engineering or construction projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI.
