Head of Contracting – Hotel Portfolio Lead

About the role

UmrahBookings is seeking a senior Head of Contracting to shape and execute the company’s hotel contracting strategy across key Saudi pilgrimage destinations. Reporting directly to the CEO and Head of Commercial, the role will drive network expansion, negotiate preferential terms, and lead a dedicated contracting team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall hotel contracting strategy, setting annual objectives with the CEO.
• Identify and pursue strategic opportunities in Makkah, Madinah and other Saudi locations.
• Lead negotiations with major hotels and hotel groups to secure competitive rates, allocations and exclusive terms.
• Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with senior hotel management.
• Establish contracting targets, KPIs and performance reporting mechanisms.
• Manage the Contracting Manager and Executives, defining individual and departmental KPIs.
• Oversee hotel acquisition, renewal and performance management processes.
• Monitor hotel production, revenue and profitability, analysing booking trends and agent demand.
• Coordinate with Sales, Reservations, Marketing and Operations to align the portfolio with international agency needs.
• Prepare contracting plans for peak periods such as Ramadan, Hajj, Umrah seasons and Saudi public holidays.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in hotel contracting, wholesale travel, hospitality or tourism.
• Strong existing network within the Saudi hotel industry and deep knowledge of Makkah and Madinah accommodation markets.
• Proven track record of high‑level commercial negotiations and managing contracting teams.
• Excellent analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (strongly preferred).
• Experience in Saudi hospitality, Hajj & Umrah operations is highly desirable.
