HR Specialist - Government Relations

About the role

ABB is hiring an HR Specialist for its Government Relations function in Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Regional HRBP. The role manages GR transactions and activities, supports complex and escalating assignments, ensures operational compliance with local legal and regulatory frameworks, and coordinates between HR Operations and relevant government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Government Relations transactions and activities, supporting complex and escalating assignments as needed.
• Ensure overall operational compliance with local legal and regulatory frameworks and coordinate with government entities.
• Handle HR-related administrative transactions and align them with government systems and internal records.
• Maintain and renew required official documentation across ABB business entities.
• Liaise with government platforms to keep operations compliant and avoid regulatory disruptions.
• Process end-to-end operations to global performance standards and support collaboration across HR Services and other HR functions.
• Deliver assigned HR Services and certain legal responsibilities, maintain good relationships with employee representatives, authorities and government bodies, and recommend improvements to practices and policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of proven experience in Government Relations or HR Operations.
• Good written and verbal communication in Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of Saudi labour laws and regulations and the HR operations cycle.
• Collaborative mindset, proactive approach to regulatory changes, and ability to partner with business and HR on new practices and policies.
