I&C Site & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

The I&C Site & Commissioning Engineer will lead the on‑site implementation of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring that installations match engineering designs and are ready for handover to operations. The role combines field validation, loop testing, and troubleshooting of communication networks and automation software.

Key responsibilities

• Review P&IDs, loop drawings and wiring diagrams; verify physical installation against design and manage field redlines.
• Lead the commissioning phase from cold loop checks through hot commissioning and system handover.
• Perform end‑to‑end loop diagnostics, resolve signal integrity, noise and wiring issues.
• Commission motorized actuators and valves (e.g., Rotork, Bernard, Auma), set mechanical limits and configure torque switches.
• Download and configure PLC/HMI projects, set hardware parameters and establish Modbus/TCP and Modbus/RTU communications.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for technical discrepancies, providing solutions or detailed reports to the engineering office.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of relevant field experience in instrumentation and control commissioning.
• Hands‑on expertise with 4‑20 mA analog signals, discrete I/O and HART protocol configuration.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, signal calibrators and loop simulators.
• Experience with motorized valve actuation and feedback integration.
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, RS‑485, Ethernet).
