Associate Director – Internal Audit (Financial Services)

About the role

The Associate Director of Internal Audit will lead high‑impact audit engagements for clients in the insurance, payments, fintech and capital markets space. You will be responsible for building senior client relationships, delivering projects on time and budget, and driving measurable improvements in efficiency and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and expand senior client and partner relationships across the financial services sector, ensuring high client satisfaction and long‑term retention.
• Oversee project delivery, managing timelines, budgets, quality standards and measurable client impact.
• Optimize engagement economics through billing, receivables, utilization rates and margin improvements.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams to produce high‑quality deliverables that generate repeat business and upsell opportunities.
• Publish thought‑leadership content and develop reusable frameworks, accelerators and methodologies.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving cross‑sell and upsell revenue growth.
• Achieve business‑development targets by expanding share of wallet and securing new client wins.
• Provide end‑to‑end solutions while ensuring compliance with commercial and legal requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, risk management, finance, economics or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, CPA, CIA, MBA or equivalent.
• Proven experience in internal audit and risk methodology within the financial services industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of internal audit (IA) and risk methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
