Auditing Engineer / Architect of Record

About the role

The Auditing Engineer / Architect of Record will lead the technical review of building permit applications and related engineering submissions. Working under the Executive Director of Capital Projects Management, you will ensure that all designs comply with Saudi planning regulations, building codes, and statutory requirements, providing independent assurance for safe and compliant development.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit engineering drawings across all relevant disciplines for code and standard compliance.
• Validate technical specifications against contract documents and project requirements.
• Identify design gaps, constructability issues, and regulatory risks.
• Ensure adherence to quality management systems (ISO, project QA/QC plans) and health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare structured audit reports, maintain evidence logs, and present findings to senior management.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve audit observations.
• Support decision‑making with objective technical input.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in engineering or technical auditing, preferably in building permit review.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (mandatory).
• Familiarity with quality management systems and audit procedures.
